Made Slowly. Made With Intention.

There is something beautiful about making things the slow way.

Aster + Ash grew from a love of color, fragrance, botanicals and the quiet satisfaction of making something by hand. Every bar begins as an idea—sometimes a landscape, a memory, a color or a scent—and is developed slowly, one small batch at a time.

OUR PROCESS

Crafted in Small Batches

Every Aster + Ash bar is developed individually, from its fragrance and color palette to the botanicals, clays and infusions that give it character. Each batch is poured, cut and finished by hand, allowing the small variations that make every bar uniquely its own.

THE MAKER

Made at the intersection of art and nature.

I’m Suzie, the artist and maker behind Aster + Ash.

My background is in art and design, and soap became another way to work with the things I have always been drawn to—color, composition, texture and the natural world.

Each bar begins with an idea rather than a formula for a collection. A landscape, a fragrance, a memory, even a particular color can become the starting point. From there, I experiment with botanical infusions, clays, fragrance and design until the bar feels like the thing I imagined.

Aster + Ash is intentionally small. The soaps are made by hand in limited batches, with the variations and imperfections that come from making something rather than manufacturing it.
